Can I order supplies and star on the same order?
Yes.
Can I order stars for two different Batches on the same order?
No. All stars in an order will be placed into one Batch file. If you need two Batch files, enter two separate orders.
Can I download my Batch file immediately?
You can download your Batch file immediately if you have sufficient credit limit to cover the cost of the order.
Can I control the Batch Name?
If your account is below your credit limit, you can name the Batch when it is created. The Batch Name is shown in the Star Manager program and helps you to manage your inventory.
What happens if I'm over my credit limit?
If the order charges will put you over your credit limit, the order will be recorded and will placed into a Pending Approval status and must be reviewed and approved by our Customer Service.
Can I make payments through the site?
Yes. There are two way to make payments. At the end of the Checkout process you can pay for the current order. You can make a general payment using the Payment link on the left Nav-Bar.
Am I required to make a payment during Checkout?
No. You can press the Skip Payments button to complete your order without making a payment. You order will use your Credit Limit to determine the order status.
Can I select where the star is located?
Yes. When you add stars to your order you can select a constellation, a Named Region, a Messier object or near the coordinates you provide.
What is the Format for coordinates when I request a star nearby?
The coordinate must be entered on the AddSpecialStar page using the Label Data format. Each coordinate is entered as a 20 character string representing the Constellation, Right Ascention and the Declination.
The first three characters are letters representing the constellation symbol.
The next eight characters are the RA with 2 digits each for hour,minute,second and fraction of a second.
The 12th character is the sign of the declination and should be a space or a dash.
The last eight characters are the Declination with 2 digits each for degree,minute,second and fraction of a second.
For example: UMA11300577 45023040 is Ursa Major at 11h30m5.77s and Dec 45°2'30.40"
and CRU12035077-61203040 is Crux at 12h3m50.77s and Dec -61°20'30.40"
